Funeral services for Luis P. Wilson III, “Sonny”, 64 of Castor, LA will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Castor, LA under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA. Officiating will be Dr. Randy Hales and Dr. David Savage. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Castor, LA. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Castor, LA. Sonny was born May 5, 1950 in Vivian, LA and went to be with The Lord January 14, 2015 at his residence in Castor, LA. He was a very dedicated member to New Ebenezer Baptist Church and Gideon International. Sonny was always saying everyone should be Juiced Up for The Lord. This adequately described Sonny, as he was always spreading The Word with others through mission work and Gideon International. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dixie Lee Wilson; mother, Gladys Weiss; and a nephew, Stevie Weiss. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 42 years, Peggy Lee Wilson of Castor, LA; son, Luis P. Wilson IV and wife, Mandy of Minden, LA; brothers, Patrick Wilson of Castor, LA and Jerome Wilson of Katy, TX; sisters, Jeannie Joyner and husband, Barney of Castor, LA and Onnette Nelson of Bossier City, LA; mother-in-law, Barbara Lee of Castor, LA; sister-in-law, Pam Desadier and husband, David of Castor, LA; brother-in-law, Mike Lee and wife, Shannon of Gladewater, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
