Jean E. Stafford, 79, of Berlin Heights, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Jan. 15, 2015, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born March 3, 1935, in Clay County, Ky., and has lived in the area for 36 years.

Jean owned and operated the J+M Salon, and also worked at Harrison Manufacturing and the Lorain Ford plant.

She enjoyed being a member of Car Coddlers, Al Anon and loved bowling, spending time with her family, crocheting and traveling. Jean was also a member of Berlin Heights Baptist Church.

Jean will be dearly missed by her husband of 36 years, John; her children, Patty (David) Massey of Texas, Debi (Larry) Cochran of Milan, Sandy (George) Townsend of Norwalk, Larry Mack of Norwalk, Sooty (Chris) Knallay of Monroeville, Debbie Walgamot of Arkansas, Kevin (Lee) Stafford of Norwalk and Jay (Cindy) Stafford of Elyria; a daughter-in-law, Tami Mack of Monroeville; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Fox; sisters, Nadine Schock, Jerry Martin and Lorene Mann; brothers-in-law, Jim Mack, Raymond Farley and Roy Griffith; sisters-in-law, Midge Stafford, Joan Kiser, Mary Lou Mack and Karolyn Fox; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Ellen (Eversole) Fox; her previous husbands, Robert Mack and Orvil Burchfield; a daughter, Brenda Neidler; a son, Alan Stafford; brother, Phillip Fox; sister, Elizabeth Farley; brothers-in-law, Robert Schock, John J. Stafford, Charles Martin and Bill Mann; a sister-in-law, Brenda Fox; and a niece, Roxanne Mann.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, where services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Pastor Schaun Cotterill will officiate.
