Ruth E. (Larson) Norlund, 86, of Oak Street, Norton, died Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of John Norlund.
She was born, in Attleboro, a daughter of the late Nils A. and Hulda (Svenson) Larson. She was a bookkeeper for the Richardson Cuddy Co. for many years, before retiring 21 years ago. She has been a life long Attleboro and Norton resident. She was a member of the Faith Alliance Church. She was a member of the Ladies Missionary Group, at the church, she attended the prayer meeting, where she prayed for everyone. She also attended the Bible Study, attended Word of Life Bible Conference Center, in NY. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking.
Besides her husband, she survived by a son: J. Mark and his wife, Mona Norlund, of Petersburgh, NY. A daughter: Debra and her husband, Julian Poczatek, of Jacksonville, FL. A sister: Esther Moreau, of Norton. She was the grandmother of Michael Norlund, Meagan Norlund, Melissa Norlund, and Walter and his wife, Amy Poczatek, and Angel Fuentes. She was the great grandmother of Lee Ann Poczatek, Sherlisia Fuentes. Also survived many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul Larson, and David Larson, Elizabeth “Betty” Larsen, and Miriam Bowser.
Her funeral service will be held in the Faith Alliance Church, 833 Pleasant St., Attleboro, burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro MA.
