Mr. John Kevin Maxwell, 47 of 9243 Turnbull Road, Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Wingo officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Maxwell was born on October 11, 1967 in Bladen County to the late Daniel Gene and Alice Jean Beard Maxwell, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Danny Maxwell, Jr. He was a Volunteer with Beaver Dam Fire Department for 20 years and worked as a Brick Mason. He was a loving son, brother and friend and he will be truly missed!

He is survived by his sisters, Anita Bradshaw of Fayetteville and Connie Dellinger of Charlotte; brothers, Glen Maxwell and Greg Maxwell both of Fayetteville; his significant other, Jennifer Parham and her daughter, Angela; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and other times at 9143 Turnbull Road, Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church Building Fund, 9957 Turnbull Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28312.
