She moved to Middleboro as a young woman and then to Brockton where she lived for most of her life. She was a professional piano player in the Brockton area and loved singing French songs. She had worked for Dodge-Murphy Photography Studios for many years.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Jeanne Julian of California and Jeannette Pitts; and two sons, Raymond Hamel and Donald Therrien; her sister, Jeannette Beaudoin of Maine; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson, Jack Jason Hamel.
