Whalen, 50, born December 1850 in Maine, father born Ireland, mother born Maine, was living on Key Street in Eastport, Maine, with Sarah P., 33, born June, 1867 in Maine, parents born Maine; Alice, 19, born September 1881; Anna K., 6, born July, 1894; Oscar, 4, born April, 1896; and Margaret, 2, born November 1898; widower father capitalist Patrick, 78, born May, 1822 in Ireland, parents born Ireland; and servant Annie Curran, 19, born May, 1881 in Canada, parents born Canada.
The couple had been married for eight years, and all three of Sarah's children were still living.
Patrick moved to the U.S. in 26 and Annie in 1895.
