CYRUS L LIESE JR, 61, OWNED AUTO DEALERSHIP
Charlemont - Cyrus L Liese Jr, 61, of Main Street, died Tuesday in Franklin County Public Hospital, Greenfield.
He was a member of the First Special Service Force in Europe in World War II.
Born in this town, he attended local schools and was a 1940 graduate of Greenfield High School.
He owned and operated Liese Motor Sales, and was a partner in Shelburne Falls Garage, until retirement in 1981.
He was a director of Old Colony Bank, Shelburne Falls.
He was a member of Charlemont Federated Church, Mountain Lodge of Masons, Shelburne Falls, and of the Charlemont Odd Fellows.
He leaves his wife the former Elaine Spencer; his stepmother Bertha Liese of Greenfield; a sister Phyllis Goodwin of Sudbury, and a stepsister Christine Laramie of Greenfield. The funeral will be Thursday afternoon at Smith Kelleher Funeral Home, Shelburne Falls with burial in Leavitt Cemetery.
