Elizabeth Heidrich, 89, Linton, ND, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 in the Strasburg Care Center, Strasburg, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Linton, ND with Rev. Gary Benz officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Myers Funeral Home where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before the service on Thursday at the church.

Elizabeth was born January 17, 1920, on a farm southwest of Linton, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Glatt) Diesz. She attended country school as well as Strasburg Public School.

Elizabeth married Harry M. Heidrich on November 7, 1939 at Holy Trinity Church in Krassna. They were married in a double wedding ceremony with Harry’s sister and brother-in-law, Rofina and John Brown. Following their marriage, they farmed until moving to Linton in 1966. Harry died June 25, 2002.

Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and most of all spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: DeWayne and Janice Heidrich of Linton, ND and Richard and Mary Heidrich of Mandan, ND; one daughter and son-in-law: Phyllis and Louis Dolen of Harrisonville, MO; eleven grandchildren: LeeAnn, Lynette, Lisa, Jamie, Kim, Robert, Brian, Kelly, Chris, Kayla and Julie and one step-granddaughter: Angie; 20 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2002, five brothers and three sisters.
