-survivors: his wife, Anne of 53 years; daughter, Carol (Robert) Godoy of Schererville; four sons: Gregory (Deborah) Furman of Schererville, Thomas (Deena) Furman, Mark (Diana Furman and Gerald (Sonya) Furman, all of St. John; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one sister, Harriet Sliwa; two brothers, Julian (late Julia) Furman and Joseph (Rose) Furman; step-brothers, sisters and in-laws of the Klocek family; and sisters and brothers-in-law of the Rolowski family; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Mary Furman; step-mother, Sophie Furman; brother, John Furman and grandson, Michael Furman

-Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, April 8 in St. Stanislaus Church officiated by Msgr. John J. Siekierski.
-members of the American Legion Allied Post 369 posted colors on Sunday at the funeral home and conducted military graveside services on Monday

Arrangements were under the direction of the Lesniak Funeral Home, 4918 Magoun Ave., East Chicago, Indiana.
