Age 65, she was a daughter of the late George and Mercedes Schley.

Jackie graduated from Mercyhurst Preparatory School in 1967. She then worked at AMSCO, where she assisted in the preparation of the weekly payroll. She married David Halas in 1972. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Marcia Mary, who died at birth.

Survivors include her husband, David Halas; her two children, Jennifer De Cenzo, husband Mark, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Christopher Halas of London, England; four sisters, Mary Janet Schin, husband Larry, of Frederick, Md., Georgette Boell, husband Ed, of Moss Beach, Calif., Laurette Carlson, husband Brian, of Greensboro, Ga., Christine Lowry, husband Bob, of Butler, Pa.; several aunts; an uncle; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
