ST. ANTHONY - Mary Dross, 90, a longtime resident of Fremont County, died January 3, 1995, at Rexburg Nursing Center.
She was born September 3, 1904, at Sugar City, Colorado, to David and Catherine Meir Weimer. She attended schools in Moody and Paul. She later moved to Colorado and Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
On Aug. 10, 1924, she married William E. Dross at Sheboygan. They moved to Idaho in 1930, where they farmed for several years and her husband was employed by Dr. Harlo Rigby for many years. He later worked for Dean Arnold and she worked for Dean Arnold and Brent Haws.
They were living in Wilford when the Teton Dam broke, washing away their home. They later purchased a home in St. Anthony. Her husband died in January 1985. In 1991 she moved to Rexburg and lived in the Brenchly Apartments.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary in St. Anthony. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
