Eugenia "Ginny" S. Haase, age 103, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Hospice House, Wausau, under the loving care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.She was born March 24, 1911 in Wausau, daughter of the late Dr. S. M. B. and Elizabeth (Porter) Smith. She married Leon Haase September 2, 1934; he preceded her in death February 11, 2001. She graduated from Wausau High School and attended the University of Minnesota and the New York School of Interior Design, New York City.Eugenia was an employee of the Wausau Record Herald for 18 years.She is survived by one son, Richard (Pam Potaczak) Haase of Tomahawk, daughter, Mary (Don Rahne) Kruse of Mosinee; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David Haase, son-in-law David Kruse; two brothers, Judson P Smith and his wife Mable and David B. Smith and his wife Kay.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brainard Funeral Home-Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston, WI. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
