Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Friday, February 21, 1958, page 2:
  Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas Hauck, 71, died at her home in Glen Carbon at 9:30 p.m. Thursday following an illness of the past year.
  Born March 31, 1886 in South Wales, Great Britain, her parents were the late John and Mary Jane Jarrett Thomas. She was married to Fred Hauck at Collinsville in 1907. Mr. Hauck died in 1916. A daughter, Juanita, also preceded her in death, on Nov. 21, 1928.
  She is survived by six brothers, William, David, John, Evan and Willis Thomas, all of Glen Carbon, and Charles Thomas, Highland; and three sisters, Mrs. William (Louise) Scheibal, Edwardsville, Mrs. Charles (Lily) Soehlke and Mrs. Bernadine Eilers, both of Glen Carbon.
  She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal church in Glen Carbon where last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. The body is at the Straube funeral home here where friends may call after 12 noon Sunday until 11 a.m., Monday.
  Burial will be in the Glen Carbon cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clifford Soehlke, John, William, Llewyn and Charles Thomas and Charles Eilers.
