Peter Sauer, Resident Here Since 1919, Dies
Peter Sauer, age 69 years, 5 months and 10 days, died at his home, 526 East Eighth Street, Monday afternoon, following a short illness of heart trouble.
He had resided in this community since 1919, coming here from Russia. He was a citizen of the United States and farmed near Campion many years. He retired in 1944. He was a member of the Congregational church.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. John R. Jones, Loveland, and Mrs. Harry Hoff, Denver; six sons, Ben and Blaine Sauer, Loveland; M. Sgt. Ted Sauer, Forbes air field, Topeka, Kan.; Ray Sauer, Johnstown; Ed Sauer, Denver; Wayne Sauer, Longmont; 16 grand children; four sisters, Mrs. Conrad Trupp, Loveland; Mrs. John Weitzel, Mitchell, Neb.; Mrs. John Kuster, Casper, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Miller, Gering, Neb.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Congregational church, with the Rev. A. Brenning officiating. Interment will be in Loveland Burial Park. The arrangements are by the Hammond Funeral home.
