Adam Sterkel, 87, Good Samaritan Retirement Village, Loveland, died Dec. 9 in Loveland.
He was born Oct. 1, 1902, to Henry and Christina Becker Sterkel. He married Mary Frick on April 19, 1925. She died Dec. 15, 1984.
He is survived by one son, Vernon L. Sterkel and wife, Gladys, Lakewood; five daughters, Wilma G. White and husband, Russell A., Denver, Florence Weinmeier and husband, Joseph, Broomfield, Velda M. Conner and husband, Robert N., Denver, Myra Lebsack and husband, John M., Berthoud, and Deanna Magsulit and husband, Ralph, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Catherine Adler, Loveland and Esther Adler, Oceanside, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and an infant son, Herman LeRoy Sterkel.
Friends may call at the Hunter Chapel on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. at Hunter Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Essing of the First United Methodist Church, Berthoud, officiating.
Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park.
