Clara Frances Grauerholz, the first of three children of Ferd and Iva (Smith) Reneberg, was born on a farm north of Kensington, Kan., on March 13, 1900. She died Feb. 12, 1992, at Prairie Haven Home in Kensington at the age of 91.
..Clara was baptized at the Christian Church in Kensington. She attended a rural school one-half mile north of her home.
..On Sept. 16, 1924, Clara was married to Arthur Grauerholz. They lived on the farm until they retired and moved to Kensington in 1958. Although they had no children of their own, they dearly loved their nieces and nephews.
..Clara always enjoyed helping her friends and relatives. She also helped care for her aged parents for six years.
..Following Arthur's death in 1980, Clara had made her home at Prairie Haven since 1984.
..She leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Ester Badenhoop of Kensington; her brother, Ernest Reneberg and wife, Laura of Cassopolis, Mich.; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
..Funeral services for Clara Frances Grauerholz were Saturday, Feb. 15, 1992, at 2:30 p.m. in the Simmons Chapel, Kensington, with the Rev. Dale McCain officiating.
..Don Wiens, soloist sang "In The Garden" and "Going Down The Valley One By One," accompanied by Ruth Wolf, pianist.
..Casket bearers were Gary Arment, Gordon Reneberg, Marlin Smith, Steve Miller, Duane Smith and Brian Dettmer.
..Clara was laid to rest in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Kensington.
