Anneliese M. Green, age 78 of Huntland, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at her residence. Anneliese loved gardening; she always had beautiful flowers that she tended every year. She loved to go fishing with her husband and also loved to water ski. She adapted well to every move she and her husband made, which was about every three years for 26 years of their married life. Anneliese never met a stranger. She was always on a bowling team and enjoyed travelling to many tournaments all over the U.S. Every Christmas she made the best German Christmas Cookies and gave every family member a tin full. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Marie Methfessel; grandson, David Howell; son-in-law, Dwight Howell; and brothers, Heinz and Wilhelm Methfessel. Survivors include her husband, Elvis Green; daughters, Patricia Howell of Huntland and Melissa Dodd of Almo, KY; son, Michael Love of Paducah, KY; brothers, Erwin and Rudi Methfessel of Germany; sister, Inge Methfessel of Germany; grandchildren, Melissa, Angela, Jennifer, Alicia, Jennifer, Ryan, Jeremy, and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Melina, Haylee, Brianna, Austin, Colby, Ashleigh, Ethan, Anneliese, Daltyn, Kaylee, and Raegan; great-great-grandchildren, Harlee, Lincoln, and Jaxson; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is 5-8 PM Friday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Mike Stenson and Rev. Mike Robinson officiating.
