Edward Christian Rudolph Senn was born in 1897 in Burlington, Iowa, the eldest of six children of Rudolph Senn and Catherine Thøisen. He worked in the welding industry for many years. In 1925, he married Hattie Mae Rice. They had 7 children, in addition to Edward's previous child, and Edward was the grandfather of 22. Edward died on December 30, 1968 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Rock Island, Illinois of a heart attack. He was buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery on January 2, 1969.

Edward Senn

Edward Christian Senn, 71, a resident of Fifth St., East Moline, Ill., and a native of Burlington, died of an apparent stroke Monday.

A former employee of Murray Iron Works, Mr. Senn was employed as a boilermaker at Olds Boiler & Welding Co., Moline. He was born Sept 21, 1897, the son of Rudolph and Cathrine Thoisen Senn, and was married in Burlington to Hattie Rice in 1925. Mr. Senn had been a resident of East Moline for 28 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and the Boilermakers union.

Surviving: The wife; sons Edward Charles Senn, Raymond L. Senn, Trona Calif., Stanley R. Senn, Portland, Ore., sons Donald J., Gary L., and Paul R. Senn, all of East Moline; daughters Mrs. Della M. Mitts, East Moline, and Mrs. Mildred M. Gustafson, Silvis, Ill., brother George A. Senn, Burlington; sisters Mrs. Pearl Dautremont of San Diego, Calif., and, in Burlington, Mrs. Lillian B. Long, Mrs. Vernice M. Johnson; 19 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services: Thursday at two at the Prugh Chapel, the Rev. Gilbert A. Saathoff, Aspen Grove Cemetery.
