Always drawn to creative ventures, Carol's interests covered everything from painting to paper-making to calligraphy to Japanese flower arranging. She acquired her love of music from her father and played the piano until her passing. From the time of their very first date seeing Blue Barron and his Orchestra, Carol & Stanley shared a lifetime-love of swing & traditional jazz music and spent their retirement years traveling the U.S. to jazz festivals, as well as supporting the local jazz scene in Louisville. Carol was a loyal friend, had a great sense of humor, and always enjoyed trying something new.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Elko & Bertha Kampmann, and by her husband of 70 years, Stanley S. Brandt. Carol is survived by her children, Charlynn Brandt, Pam Brandt, Paul S. Brandt & wife, Chantell; and granddaughters, Britney and Aslyn Brandt.
