John Henry Freet was born on July 1, 1863 to Jacob and Mary (Small) Freet. [My great x3 Grandparents] in Mount Pleasant Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. He was the oldest child out of 8 children.
He married Sarah Phillippi March 23, 1902. I have not found of any children from this marriage. On their marriage certificate it says previous marriages was one for John and it had been about 7 years since he had been married. I have not found who she was.
John Freet married Alma Pletcher on December 20, 1915, the marriage certificate says his previous wife (Sarah Phillippi) died on August 2, 1915. John and Alma had two childern, Evelyn S. Freet and Clifford W. Freet. Clifford died when he was only 2 and a half months old. He had been born prematurely. Later John and Alma were divorced on December 11, 1919.
He married Matilda Shaulis on December 6, 1921. They had two daughters, Mary Ada (Freet) Wisler and Alice Matilda (Freet) Russell.
He died July 20, 1934 as a result of cancer.
