Michael J. Hammer, 64, passed away at his home, 2315 Wesley avenue, Saturday morning and funeral services were held Tuesday with the Schubert chapel in charge. Interment was at Bohemian National Cemetery.
Mr. Hammer was one of the organizers of the Western Federal Savings and Loan Association and had served as its president for forty years. Surviving is his wife, Julia; two daughters, Eleanor Forst and Irene Jelinek, a brother, Joseph J. Hammer, and a sister, Katherine Johanek.
