Lois A. Shiplett

Lois A. Shiplett, 85, of Zanesville, died at 5:05 PM Wednesday October 23, 2013 at Adams Lane Care Center.
She was born January 31, 1928 in Wheeling WV the daughter of the late Frank and Irene Clark Eichenberg. Lois was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, former Zanesville City Auditor, former member of Board of Eastside Community Ministries, Ladies Republican Club, Volunteer for 15 years at Adams Lane Care Center and Willow Haven and member of Senior Center and Eagles. She was an avid Buckeye Fan and also enjoyed crafts.
Lois is survived by sons: Stephen (Becky) Shiplett of Hebron, KY, Kevin (Ellen) Shiplett of Henderson, NV, Jim Jr. (Laura) Shiplett of Williamsburg, VA and Eric (Mollie) Shiplett of Milford, 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: James A. Shiplett Sr. who died 6/14/2002, brother: Paul Eichenberg and sister: Marion Seward.
Calling hours will be 6:00 - 9:00 PM today Friday October 25, 2013 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. with Christian Vigil Service at 8:45 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon Saturday October 26, 2013 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Martin Ralko officiating. Committal service will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lois’s memory to Eastside Community Ministries.
