Jessie Louise Dolbeare
Jessie Dolbeare, age 83, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.
She was born March 16, 1931, in Pike County, IL, the daughter of W. B. and Mary Ileen Louis McKee. On December 2, 1949 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Dolbeare. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2010.
Jessie is survived by three children, Gary Duane and wife Barbara of O’Fallon, IL, David Lee and wife Cindy of Shelbina, MO and Patricia Elaine Newcom and husband Marvin of Columbia, MO; five grandchildren, Paul Newcom, Jessica Heuer, Matt Dolbeare, Stephanie Dolbeare and Hallie Dolbeare; four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Corbin Heuer and Emma and Will Rode; five brothers, William McKee, Lowel McKee and Gene McKee all of Pleasant Hill, IL, J. R. McKee of Jacksonville, IL, and Darrell McKee of New York and one sister, Mary Hayden of Milton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Robert McKee.
Jessie was a 1949 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a member of the Shelbina First Christian Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, traveling, singing in the Church Choir, crocheting and embroidering. Jessie’s love for her family was evident and she cherished the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Shelbina Christian Church in Shelbina, MO, with burial to follow at Shelbina Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Shelbina First Christian Church.
