Requiem high mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Cecelia's Church, Glassport, for Joseph C. Faix, 43, former councilman in Glassport and superintendent of the ground rod department of the Copperweld Steel Company. Mr. Faix, who served on the Glassport Council for 12 years, died yesterday at his home, 215 Arch Street, Glassport. A native of Glassport, he was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Faix. His father was formerly burgess in Glassport. Mr. Faix was a member of St. Cecelia's Church and the Board of Auditors. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Cairns Faix; two daughters, Patricia and Karen Faix, at home; three brothers, Dr. Phillip Faix of Pittsburgh; Edmund Faix of Clairton, and Vincent Faix of Glassport; a sister, Miss Catherine Faix of Glassport. Friends will be received until 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 640 Vermont Avenue, Glassport. Interment will be in the new St. Joseph Cemetery, East McKeesport.
