William Frederick Koch. 79. passed away at the home of his daughter. Mrs. W. H. Kroeger, 1502 Marquette street,' at 6:30 p. m. Thursday after a lingering illness.
The deceased was born in Kiel, Schleswig, Holstein, Germany. Dec. 35. 1848. He was united in marriage to Miss Maria Bless in 1871 in Germany. Mr. Koch was a veteran .of the Franco-Prussian war and served during the years of 1870 and 1871. following the war. The couple came to America and in |1872 settled in Davenport where they have since resided. He was a carpenter in Davenport for many years, retiring about 12 years ago. Surviving are: five daughters, Mrs. August Paulsen. Moline, III. Mrs. W. H. Kroeger, Davenport: Mrs. Albert Adams. Albany. Oregon: Miss Flora Koch and Miss Viola Koch, both of Davenport: three sons. Henry J., Wallace, Idaho, William S.. Jr.; and Arthur C. both or Davenport: one sister.
, Mrs. T .Boelck in Germany; two brothers. Herman, Millard. Neb., and Henry, Wayne Neb.; and two grandchildren. The remains -were removed to the Rungs mortuary and will he returned to the home of his daughter. Mrs.W.H. Kroeger. Saturday afternoon.. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the late home at 2 o'clock. Friends will be welcome at the services at the home. The incineration at the Davenport Crematorium will be private. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
