Funeral services for Daniel A. Kocich, 76, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg.

Daniel was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Moravia to Bob and Agnes Cernik Kocich, and he passed away Oct. 24, 2001 in Richmond. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, a veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 271, and a member of VFW Post 3903. He retired from the farming and ranching business and from the U.S. Postal Service in Richmond in 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Agnes Kocich, and a sister, Erlene Hopkins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Emma Valicek Kocich of Rosenberg; his sons, Larry Kocich and his wife, Gayle, of Rosenberg, Harvey Kocich and his wife, Shirley, of Richmond, and Kenny Kocich and his wife, Patti, of Richmond; his grandchildren, Lisa, Angela, Christopher, Karen, Diane, Ryan, Carrie, Derek, and Erin Kocich.
