Virgie Louise Picklesimer, 69, of Woodstock died Monday Evening, December 28, 2009 at home. She retired after 20 years as an electronics technician from Grimes Aerospace.
Virgie enjoyed playing bingo and reading. A loving mother, she will be remembered for her strength, sensibility, wisdom, and her affection for her great granddaughter.
She was born January 11, 1940 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Millard and Emma (Ratliff) VanHoose. Also preceding her in death are seven brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are her son, Phillip Brian Picklesimer and daughter, Terri Long both of Woodstock; grandsons, John, Derick, and Justin Long of Woodstock; great grand daughter, Ryleigh Long; and sisters, Irene Castle of Urbana and Kathern Wilcox of Louisa, Kentucky.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Ziraldo officiating. Burial will follow at Milford Center Cemetery.
