Robert Thomas Zembsch, 50, died suddenly at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital, late Thursday evening, October 19, His home was at 1104 Pilot Ave., Cherokee and he was employed by Christensen Bros., Cherokee, Ia.

Mr. Zembsch was born on July 31, 1928 in Cherokee to Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Zembsch. He married Shirley Oentrich in Laverne, Minn. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael, Tempe, Ariz., Daniel, Cherokee; three daughters, Mrs. Joel (Kathy) Smith and Melinda and Melissa Zembsch, all of Cherokee. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Altha Zembsch of Blue Eye, Mo. and three brothers, Dean of Meriden, Bill of Springfield, Mo. and LeRoy of Larrabee, Ia. and one sister, Mrs. John (Jean) Florke of Blue Eye, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1973 and one brother, Howard in 1961.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Cherokee. Rev. Bob Davis officiated.

Burial was in Liberty Twp. Cemetery, Calumet, Ia. under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee.
