Carroll A. Kleve, 64, of Norfolk [NE], died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at his home.
Services will be at 1 pm. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk.
The Rev. Frank Parrinello will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm. Friday at Johnson-Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with a rosary at 7 pm.
Mr. Kleve was born Nov. 6, 1936, at Cedar Rapids [NE] to Lawrence A. and Agatha C. (Scheele) Kleve. He graduated from Clarks [NE] High School in 1954. After high school, he worked as a brakeman at Union Pacific Railroad. He graduated from Nebraska State Patrol Camp at Ashland in 1959.
He married Reta L. Butt on Sept. 10, 1958, in Grand Island [NE]. They were divorced in 1977. He worked with traffic for the Nebraska State Patrol until becoming communications commander (Sargent) in Omaha, Norfolk, and Ainsworth. He retired Jan. 1, 1987.
He was a member of St. Mary's Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Norfolk. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and baseball.
Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Bradley D. and Pamela Kleve, Joseph A. Kleve and Michael W. Kleve, all of Norfolk; a daughter, Laura L. Kleve of Central City [NE]; three grandchildren; three step grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; three sisters, Joan Craig of Seal Beach, Calif., Doreen Allen of Muskogee, Okla., and Doris Dansby of West Minster,Calif., seven (six) brothers, Robert and Donald, both of Houston [TX], Jerome of Hayward, Nev., Lawrence "Larry" of Lamiroda, Calif., Daniel of Sanromon, Calif., and LeRoy of Central City.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Richard Kleve.
