KEITHVILLE, LA - Funeral services for MSgt. William J. Kneipp, 86, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Grawood Baptist Church. Reverend Bob McCartney, pastor of Grawood Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery, Meriwether Road. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2004 at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. William was a lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA. He was born February 5, 1918 to the late Charlie and Jesse Kneipp. William entered into rest Thursday, February 12, 2004 in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Grawood Baptist Church. William proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was also a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association. William was an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America in Japan. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy Kneipp; sons, Charles Kneipp and wife, Jo, Paul Kneipp and wife, Therese; grandchildren, Lucas A. Kneipp and wife, Kelly, Thomas B. Kneipp, Gregory J. Kneipp, Charles Tyler Kneipp and great granddaughter, Julie M. Kneipp. Pallbearers will be Lucas Kneipp, Thomas Kneipp, J.R. Stephenson, Richard Kneipp, Victor Metcalf and William Leach.
