Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 28 at First Baptist Church for Sonny Wallace, of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Wallace, 66, died Monday, March 24, 2003 in Lubbock, Texas.

Rev. Gary Worden of Las Cruces, N.M. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Casabonne, Wayne Niel Wallace, Wayne Durham, Hunkie Wallace, Eddie Wallace, Johnny Hammond, Bobby Branch, and Kenny Kinnibrugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Nowak, Larry Troublefield, Sr., Joe Ross, Tom Clark, Gary Sherrell, Virgil Burns, Elvin Reiser, Frank Devine, Stanley Waldrip, Bob Barnett, Curtis Haskins, and all friends at the Senior Citizen Center.

Sonny was born September 12, 1936 in Crosbyton, Texas; the son of Walter E. Wallace and Ruby I. Stewart Wallace. He came from there to Artesia in 1939.

He owned and operated Wallace Auto Sales and was a member of Centre Ave. Baptist Church; the Fugitive Band; Moose Lodge; AARP and the N.R.A.
