Hilda Elizabeth (Bentz) Finkemeier, 106, died on April 4, 2015. She was born on March 31, 1909, to German emigrant parents, Philip and Marianna Bentz, in the Argentine district of Kansas City, Kansas. The third youngest of ten children, she far outlived the four sisters and two brothers who survived beyond early childhood, all but one of them living well into their 70s and 80s. She grew up, married and lived her entire life in the Kansas City area although she became an inveterate world traveler in her middle and older years and continued traveling domestically into her 102nd year. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; oldest son, Harold; three daughters-in-law; great-grandson and two great-great-granddaughters. She is survived by her son, daughter, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
