PITTSVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. William Mehlbrech, 85, Pittsville, who died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, will be held here at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ with the Rev. Bharat Surender officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery.
Mrs. Mehlbrech, the former LuCelia Fuchs, was born March 18, 1866, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fuchs, and married William Mehlbrech in Iowa Jan. 17, 1906. He died Sept. 11, 1959.
Mrs. Mehlbrech was a member of the United Church of Christ Women's Fellowship and choir and had taught Sunday School for 30 years. She was also a member of the Pittsville Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include one son, Elwin, Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Fern Haumschild and Mrs. Roy Olds, Pittsville; two brothers, Osroe Fuchs, Cherokee, Iowa, and Vernon Fuchs, Wapato, Wash.; one half-brother; five half-sisters; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two son, four brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and two half-brothers.
Friends may call at the Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 2 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday, then at the church after 12 noon.
