NEW BRAUNFELS — Henry G Jahnsen, 90, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday in a New Braunfels nursing home.

Born Sept. 16, 1891 in Shiner, he was a former resident of San Antonio and a retired hotel coffee shop operator.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels. The Rev Robert Louis of San Antonio will officiate.

Burial will be in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels.

He was preceded in death by his wife.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Henrietta Kallies of San Antonio and Mrs Estella McRoberts of South Dakota, five sons, Clarence of New Braunfels, Melvin of Denver, Colo., Earl of Buliverde, Texas, Robert of Bastrop and Albert Jahnsen of Cuero; two sisters, Mary Koenning of Alice and Isabel Koenning of Shiner; a brother, Bill Boedeker of Shiner, 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A World War I Veteran. Inducted at Floresville, Texas, May 27, 1918. He served overseas from August 26, 1918 in 165 Dep Brig; Co E 64 Inf to June 26, 1919. He was honorably discharged on demobilization June 30, 1919.
