HORWATH, Richard Stephen, 72, of Blue Jay, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Born on October 19, 1942, in Beckley, WV. He was the son of the late Stephen and Hazel Ellison Horwath. Besides his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Tucker Horwath; a brother, Louis Horwath; and a great grandson, Matthew Hammon. Richard worked all his life as an Upholsterer at Barracks, Williams Top Shop and then his own business, R & H Upholstery. He enjoyed baking cakes for family and friends, dancing, crocheting and needle point. He was a member of St. Mary’s United Methodist Church. Richard never met a stranger and was loved by all of his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory icludes four daughters, three brothers and three sisters; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 12pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, with Reverend Rick Waller officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Son-in-laws, grandsons and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral services at the funeral home from 10am-12pm on Saturday. Donations may be sent in his memory to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, P.O. Box 1472,
