A funeral service for Helen S. Anderson (nee Wardzala), 85, will be held at 8:45 a.m. Friday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton, and will proceed to St. John the Baptist Church for a 9:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Winfield. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Born Dec. 12, 1920, in Chicago, to the late Agata and Stanley Wardzala, she passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Central DuPage Hospital, in Winfield. Helen retired from Mech-Tronics after working 30 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Matthew D.; loving mother of Ronald (Becky) of West Burlington, Iowa, Robert (Kathleen) of Glen Ellyn, and Rachel (Anthony) Coco of Alpharetta, Ga.; treasured grandmother of Dr. Russell (Amy), Ryan (Sarah), Rachel, Matthew, Meghan, and Robert Anderson and Elizabeth and Gabrielle Coco; cherished great-grandmother of Sophia Anderson; dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Hank Kozik, Sophie Sliwinski, Adam Kozik, Ted Kozik, Mary Nowatarski, Bill Wardzala, and Eddie Wardzala.
