He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Frank J. and Hilda (Faller) Spitznagel. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lou Noon and Dorothy Frantz, and brothers, Harvey and Marvin Spitznagel.
Frank is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Dolores (Naville) Spitznagel; children, Gary Spitznagel, Carol Fisher (Kim), Richard Spitznagel (Marcella), Danny Spitznagel (Terri), Susan Block (Daniel), Kathy Coleman (Bradley), Mary Lu Fisher (David), Debra Reiter (Kelvin), Sandra Herman (Thomas), and Frank Spitznagel III (Jane); brothers, Hubert (Pauline) and Joseph (Doris) Spitznagel; 25 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 PM to 9 PM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 AM. His Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at 11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (316 N. Sherwood Ave, Clarksville, IN 47129) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Memorial contributions in Frank’s memory may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
