Albert Grimm, 55, of 1112 E. Fourth street, died at 6 o'clock Sunday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been taken Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock, less than two hours after suffering a stroke at his home. He had not been ill, and had worked all day at the Roddis Lumber and Veneer Company plant, where he had been employed the past 10 years as a hot press operator.
The body is lying in state at the Rembs Funeral Home, where funeral service will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. G. E. Pauloweit, pastor of the Community Lutheran Church at Medford. Interment will take place at Hillside cemetery.
Mr. Grimm was born at Monroe April 2, 1888, and was married at Wisconsin Rapids July 11, 1907, to Miss Emma Hauser. The Grimms lived at Arpin since their marriage and until coming to Marshfield 11 years ago.
Surviving besides his widow are five daughters, Mrs. Simon (Marie) Vander Ploeg, Arpin; Mrs. Rachael Anderson, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Lawrence (Edna) DeMert, Neillsville; Mrs. Herman (Margaret) Reber, Rudolph; and Mrs. James (Alma) Schrader, Arpin; two sons, Marvin Grimm, Brooklyn, Wis.; and Second Lt. Glenn R. Grimm, Australia; one sister, Mrs. William (Nettle) Ritzlaff, Antigo; and four brothers, Charles, William, and Jake Grimm all of Arpin, and John Grimm, believed to be in Canada. There are also 20 grandchildren.
One brother and a sister preceded him in death.
