Julius H. Andreae

SAYBROOK - Julius H. Andreae, 83, of Saybrook, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday (July 15, 1999) at Heritage Manor, Normal.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. James Boswell officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the memorial home.

Memorials may be made to Bellflower Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or to an organization of the donor's choice.

Mr. Andreae was born July 12, 1916, in Anchor, a son of Chris and Elizabeth Wilde Andreae. He married Opal Irene Burke on Sept. 22, 1939, at Covington, Ky. She survives.

Also surviving is one sister, Viola Worley of Wausau, Indiana; four brothers, Marvin (Evelyn) Andreae of Fisher; Ivan (Priscilla) Andreae of Paxton; Ralph (Helen) Andreae of Sibley; and Raymond (Jeanette) Andreae of Morris.

He is also survived by a special nephew, Bruce (Karin) Andreae, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Andreae was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold Andreae.

Mr. Andreae was a member of the Bellflower Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he also served as a deacon to the church. He was also a farmer in the Saybrook area until retiring in 1978. After retiring, he was an avid gardener.
