"A funeral will be at 10 a.m. July 1 in Portland Memorial Funeral Home for Katie Winterholler, who died June 28, 2000 at age 88.
Mrs. Winterholler was born July 15, 1911 in Stahl, Russia. Her maiden name was Lass. She immigrated to the United States, settling in Philadelphia as an infant, and was raised in Worland, Wyoming. She moved to Portland in 1940 and was a homemaker. A former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, she was most recently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham. she attended Mt. Hood Community College and had been a volunteer for Loaves and Fishes.
In 1931, she married Carl J. Winterholler, who died in 1981.
Survivors include her sons, Bob, Herman and David; daughter, Mary An Bjur; sisters, Ann Weigle, Karen Petillo, Betty Meyers and Lillian Day; brothers Pete Lass and George Lass; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Portland Memorial Mausoleum."
