Loretta Kay Hoffman, 64, of Scottsbluff, died Sept. 23, 2009, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held Sept. 28, at Calvary Memorial Evangelical Free Church in Gering. Interment will be in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Loretta Kay Hoffman, loving mother, grandmother, family member and friend, was born Aug. 8, 1945, at Scottsbluff to Woodie Mack and Emma (Altig) Giles. She was raised and lived her life here in the valley. She graduated from Gering High School and Western Nebraska Community College. She lived the final years of her life well taken care of by her niece, Tonya Elsen. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wayne Giles and sister Rhonda Dobbs.
