Jeanne Kay Hansen, 56, Nekoosa, daughter of a Bancroft couple, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her home in the town of Saratoga in Wood County following a year and nine month battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD).

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 8, at Nekoosa Community Center. Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Food and refreshments will also be available.

A donation will be given to Ministry Home Care of Marshfield & Wisconsin Rapids.

Mrs. Hansen was born Aug. 10, 1956, in Wisconsin Rapids, a daughter of Raymond and Donna (Allison) Pichelmann. She graduated from Tri-County High School in 1974.

She was married to Ken Hansen on Aug. 23, 1975, in Kellner.

She worked for 31 years at Domtar in the print shop.

When the mill closed she earned an associate degree in administrative assistant from Mid-State Technical College.

She then was employed at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

She was a member of the Rollin Thunder Rodders Car Club.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Ciji, Appleton; one son, Cody (fiancée Amanda), Wisconsin Rapids; her parents, Donna and Raymond Pichelmann, Bancroft; four sisters, Kathy Hanley, Schertz, Texas, Sherry (Tom) Cunningham, North Freedom, Mary Pichelmann, Stevens Point, and Diane (Rick) Pichelmann-Sutherland, Nekoosa; one brother, Mike Pichelmann, Stillman Valley, Ill.; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Terri Pichelmann.
