--Jacob Bassler, a well-known saloon keeper, residing on East Main street, died at noon yesterday at the age of 50 years after an illness of about four hours. He was a member of the Ninth Illinois Regiment and marched in a parade with his comrades at the re-union of his regiment last Tuesday. The funeral will take place at 2 p. m. tomorrow.
