Miriam Boerner
Miriam Faye Boerner, age 94, of Odebolt, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the United Methodist Church of Odebolt, Iowa. The Reverend Ken Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Odebolt Cemetery of Odebolt, Iowa.

Miriam Faye Boerner was born on December 10, 1920 on the family farm in Odebolt, Iowa, to Carl and Ethel (Nichols) Siebrecht.

Miriam grew up on the family farm in Odebolt and graduated from Odebolt Highschool.

While working on the Boerner family farm as a house keeper, Miriam met Wayne Clay Boerner. The couple were united into marriage on May 29, 1940 on the family farm in Odebolt. Miriam and Wayne were blessed with a son, Laurel Boerner.

Miriam worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa from 1950-1970, when she was blessed with grandchildren, Todd and Brooke whom she stayed home to look after.

Miriam was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Odebolt, Iowa. Miriam belonged to the Wheeler Improvement Club, various card clubs, and The Order of Rebekah's.

Miriam enjoyed; baking, fishing, needlework, and most of all spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Miriam is survived by her son, Laurel Boerner and wife Sandra of Forest Lake, MN; grandson Todd Boerner and wife Michelle of Overland Park, KS; granddaughter, Brooke and husband James Noren of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Logan Boerner, Ethan Boerner, Seth Noren, Clea Noren, and Claudia Noren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Carl Siebrecht; husband, Wayne Boerner; two brothers, Maurice and Gayle; and sister, Marjorie.
