"Audra Mae Sorrell
January 9, 1920 - June 5, 2015

Audra Mae Sorrell, 95, went to live eternally with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 5, 2015. Mae was born and grew up in Mena, Arkansas. There she worked in the jewerly store owned by her parents, I.E. (Idlum Edward)and Ozie (nee: Joplin) Lindsay, and met her husband of 66 years, Hubert. They lived in different places, including Overland Park, Kansas and Mena, had two daughters, and later moved to North Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Sorrell: her daughter, Renee Robertson; and her sister, Elleta Flick. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Steve) Marshall of Maumelle, Arkansas; son-in-law, Jack Robertston of Colorado Springs, Colorado; granddaughter, Marigny (Rich) Klaber of Colorado; nephews Ken (Helmi) Flick of Bedford, Texas and Ron (Karen) Flick of Little Italy, Arkansas.

Mae worked at Price-Fewell/Arkansas Lighting Company as an assistant bookkeeper, but her passion was sewing. She was an accomplished seamtress who loved to make clothes for her daughters, her sister, and herself. She treasured the friendships she made through the Bernina Sewing Club. Mae also had a love of plants which she instilled in both her daughters. For many years she was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church where she established enduring friendships. Later, she joined Park Hill Baptist Church and acquired new friends. The Christian support she received from those relationsips helped her get through some very difficult times. Mae will be remembered for her kindness to others and her selfless love for her famiy."
