Emma Helene Elise Krohn, 83, of Albion passed away suddenly Sunday, June 21, 1981 at the Wolf Memorial Center, Albion. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Albion. Rev. Wendell Debner officiated. Mrs. Judy Harder was soloist and Dayle Reicks was organist.

Pallbearers were Gary, Richard, Charles and James Krohn, Gayle Short and Rodney Mills. Interment was held at the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Krohn was born April 30, 1898 at Albion, the daughter of John and Helene Bentjen. She was a life long member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Albion. April 3, 1918 she married William H. Krohn at the Lutheran Church, Albion. They lived on the farm west of Albion from the time of their marriage until 1969, when she moved into Albion. Because of failing health, she moved to the Wolf Memorial Home in November of 1980.

Mrs. Krohn is survived by seven children: Edwin, Marvin, James, William and Mrs. LaVonne Mills, all of Albion, Irma Short of Columbus, Donald of Kansas City and Robert of Omaha; sister; Mrs. Sam (Frieda) Mills of Albion; brothers; John of Gunnison, Colo., Bill and Herman of Albion; 25 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, July 27, 1961; an infant son, Willard; one sister, Lena Mills; one grandchild, Tom Mills; and one son-in-law, Roy Short.
