Lula Pearl "Tootsie (Trauernicht) (Buchli) Scheuerman was born on April 7, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Edward Martin Luther "Ed" Trauernicht (1883-1952) and Emma "Claudia" (St John) Trauernicht (1899-1979). [NOTE: Her exact birth date is uncertain, and although it is given as April 4 on the memorials for her parents, Lula's obituary has it as April 7 while the funeral home website has it as April 8.]
She was married 1st to John Buchli Sr and 2nd to Eugene Scheuerman. A lifelong, active member of Monroe Street United Methodist Church, Lula served as choir director for many years and loved her church and church family. She enjoyed music and singing, travel and had a passion for her family history.
Lula passed away on June 13, 2015.
Preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, brother Paul Trauernicht and by her grandson Jeremy Wilson, she was survived by a married son; two married daughters; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Lula's Life was held at Monroe Street United Methodist Church in Nashville, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
