She met Vernon Bielefeld at a church function in Lima and they married at her home in Lima on Aug. 21, 1942.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Vernon; daughters, Celeste (Eddie) Mead and Dawne Bielefeld all of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Thelma Thomas of McCaysville, Ga.
She worked her way at J.C. Penny's to pass the uncertainty of Vernon in Europe for four years during World War II.
Graveside services will be held at the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, New Knoxville, at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Dennis Gaertner officiating.
