Lloyd was born on May 11, 1923 on his family’s farm in Bonner Springs, the second of two children born to Rhinehardt and Martha “Mattie” (Oleschlaeger) Schubert. Lloyd was a 1941 graduate of Bonner Springs High School. He married his wife Marian (Anderson) on December 12, 1945. After his father died in 1943 he bought the eight head of dairy cattle from his mother and from that they built their farm that still remains in the family. He was a longtime member of the Edwardsville Christian Church, the Kansas Farm Bureau Association. At one time he was an avid bowler and baseball player. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter-in-law, Linda (Markowitz) Schubert. Survivors include his wife Marian Shubert, three sons Rodney and wife Jane of Bonner Springs, Dennis and his wife Vicki of Camdenton, MO., and Llorian “Porge” of Bonner Springs, one sister Frances Jeannin of Leavenworth, KS. three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
