Martha Ann Tremain was born in Cherokee, Iowa on December 13, 1915, to Art and Ida Delperdang. She was the oldest of seven children.

She married Bill Lair in 1937. They had seven children, Leonard, Shirley, Larry, Betty, Barbara, Dennis and Donna. They moved from Iowa to Seattle in 1950.

In 1964, Martha married Russell Paul Tremain.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Fecteau; son, Larry Lair (Jean); daughter, Betty Chalker; son, Dennis Lair (Melissa); daughter-in-law, Vivian Lair; son-in-law, Bob James; sister, Elva Johnson; four stepchildren; and 20 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Paul Tremain; son, Leonard Lair; daughters, Barbara James and Donna Webb.

Mom was always there if we needed anything or even just a shoulder to cry on. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, for 30 years. She loved her Parish family.

Mom and Paul loved to fish, loved their trips to Iowa every year, and loved playing pinochle.

She was loved by all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
